School Based Services
“Life Strategies... A Seminar Series” is
an in-school program that provides a diverse population of students the
opportunity to build
new life skills that promote development into successful young men and
women.
Groups include goal setting/achievement, effective communication
skills and anger management, among others. Experienced Seton Youth Shelters
group facilitators conduct weekly seminars and counseling in select schools,
combining crisis counseling with education and youth advocacy.
School
Based Services also provides family crisis counseling for students when
needed. Seton Youth Shelters staff work collaboratively with school administration,
guidance counselors and teachers to meet the needs of their students.
