Youth & Family Counseling

Youth and Family Counseling Services provides crisis counseling and referrals services for youth and families without admission to a shelter program. This program OFFERS short-term counseling with the goal of helping parents and their youth maintain a healthy relationship with one another.


Youth Services

Anger Management Program for Youth
The Anger Management Program for Youth (AMP) is a six-week anger management program designed to help youth manage stress and anger in a healthy way and to gain insight as to how anger affects their relationships. This program is held every other month throughout the year.

Drug Education For Youth (D.E.F.Y.)
Drug Education For Youth is an early intervention program. It is designed for youth who have a history of using or abusing substances. The program consists of substance abuse evaluations, referrals, and drug education groups.

Teen Support Group
Seton Youth Shelters offers a support group for teens who are learning to cope with adjusting to adolescence, family conflicts, peer-related issues, and low self-esteem. It is held weekly on Thursday evenings.

A multi-sensory program designed to help parents understand their youth's inevitable developmental changes, while encouraging positive communication to resolve conflict in the home and out.

Parent Support Group
Seton Youth Shelters offers a parent support group for parents whose teens are experiencing difficulty managing their anger. It is held concurrently with the Anger Management Program for Teens.
